The Democratic Party better start calling out the Tea Party for their lies, and keep at it until people notice. If the Democratic Party lets them continue, then the electorate will start believing its true.

MWeaver, I don't even list the GOP anymore as they become more irrelevant. The GOP politicians are so afraid of a Tea Party challenge in the primaries, they have become totally ineffective.
- 65 votes
Their biggest lie - and biggest Achilles heel - is the refusal to acknowledge their Theocratic values. The latter is Toxic on a National Vote, and will be the big issue of 2012.
For sure economy and jobs will be up there, but those two always are every election since doomsday. Theocratic values is their weakness, and is what will sink them Nationally.
At a State level it will take longer, but as their policies have no substance to them (look at the core 15 principles on their website), eventually the bubble will burst at a State level and they will be tossed out amidst the chaos.

Hate and anger can only take a Party so far, if the electorate don't see any improvements in their lives as a result of their actions. They will boot out the Tea Party and vote in the next radial group that promises things they can't keep.

.... and vote in the next radial group that promises things they can't keep
Thats probably true :)
Kinda terrifying when you think about it - lets hope the Tea Party saga at least gives a sufficiently bad taste in their mouths to hold that spectre off for a while....

Liberals are abused girlfriends apologizing for getting punched by GOP boyfriends.
Tea Party is wholly owned subsidiary of Corporate Masters. They suckle on Kochs.
Their fear and hate is leash used to steer them towards corporate interests. Their fear and hatred of blacks, Muslims, women blind them to fact that they are working against their own interests and for good of rich.
Ironic that those least likely to become rich from lack of smarts are so sympathetic to wealth. Pigs sympathetic to butchers.
We can't move them, only overcome them.

Lol andrew.... sounds a lot like corporate mission statements they plaster their walls with for the benefit of the workers and then rain impossible objectives in their path for a very low rate of return. I would even venture a guess the mission statement of the tea party was written in the hallowed halls of ALEC. Even the Koch Brothers personally took a hand in training them in how to disrupt democratic town halls and giving them pep talks. Yeah, ALEC all the way.

No, they are not the National Party aims, its not even the Party site. The actual Site is :
http://www.teaparty.org/about.php
Where the fifteen - very different, and actual National - aims of the Party are laid out. They also clearly state:
(Yes, We Are A Christian Nation) You don't have to be a Christian to enjoy freedom. The Tea Party welcomes all Red Blooded U.S. Citizens.
So they are a Christian Nationalist Party by their own definition (We are a Christian Nation). Yet at the same time they claim you don't have to be Christian to enjoy freedom - interesting ...... wonder which it is ??
As for welcoming "all Red Blooded US Citizens" .... do you really need a lesson on US Traditional values of diversity and how that screams at what has just been said in the same statement?
Thats before we get into what their practical policies are, which are no where to be seen. Even their Candidates take up the Party Site theme - speak in invective, say nothing concrete, explain no proposed policy. Its just empty invective.

Sorry Allen about the bullet points and shortage of truth. Not trained in debate nor formal presentations. High School only and over 50 years ago. Reading takes one a long way, life experience takes one even farther... ability to observe and analyze helps as well. At the time of my guided and formal education took place, females having designs on higher education was just not a consideration. After that, family responsibilities took precedence.

#1.5:Hate and anger can only take a Party so far, if the electorate don't see any improvements in their lives as a result of their actions. They will boot out the Tea Party and vote in the next radial group that promises things they can't keep.
Good morning Allen,
I could have kept reading from the wonderful piece listed here because it was so truthful and yet made me so angry at what is being allowed to continue to happen. I have always been cognizant of, and fought against what the KKK, the GOP-repugs, John Birch Society, Jim Crow, school anti-busing and other elements attempt to disavow the civil rights of others.
I am presently 65 years young and continue to look forward to fighting these evil cabals where they stand- and don't even consider uttering an apology! Pulease.
I plan to continue to vote Democratic and so does my family and friends! I can only hope that others will see the true writing on the wall and vote these repug/Teabagger monsters/scum out of office once and for all - and keep them out this time!

TEAhadists! Can't live with'em and you can't live... well... with'em.
Simplistic ideology and pedantic dogma bound thought all wrapped up together. If they weren't so dangerous they'd be funny.
- 21 votes
What seems so ridiculous to me, is that the Tea Party says this is a Christian Nation but you don't have to be a Christian to enjoy freedom.
Now to me, I'm wondereing if they are speaking "christian theology." In other words when someone who is a Christian says to me they are free, it means they have accepted Christ as their savior and they are not in bondage to sin anymore.
Because freedom is given by God not man. So their words to me sound as double speak.
It just sounds like they are wanting to be free to be greedy and want it to seem as if they are doing it in God's Name, all the while saying to those who don't believe in Christ, that they are free to enjoy their-Tea Party- beliefs which are really just based on greed.
Because the link Zydor, so kindly, supplied in #1.12 shows how nationalistic they areally are, how much they link their patriotism to the military instead of to the principles of freedom and America being a country based on opportunities for those who seek a better life. In other words they are promoting the corporatist mentality which is warned against as well as outlawed by the Constitution.
Now if they just called themselves the greed party, they'd at least be honest.

Can You Smell The Extremism?
If you believe any of these beliefs are possessed by terrorists or the "enemy", you are either insane, a liar, or a fool.
Did anyone else notice Andrew's ...
- complete demonization of anyone who disagrees with you?
- preclusion of the possibility of honest, intellectual dissent?
- direct equation of his movement's platform with citizenship?
Even if one believed all points represented -- and the movement itself doesn't honor truly 'free' trade/market -- there is also the unstated by everywhere present way in which the agenda is used.

How about the Hypocrisy.
"Our political discourse has been shaped by these types of exchanges for a decade. It has to change, and it seems to be changing,"
And yet a couple of sentences later the author is applauding Waters for that exact kind of discourse.
"But Maxine Waters took the Tea Party critique to a whole new level by announcing that “the tea party can go straight to hell!”"
You left out some things...
http://articles.latimes.com/2011/aug/18/news/la-pn-maxine-waters-obama-20110818
“The Congressional Black Caucus loves the president, too. We're supportive of the president, but we're getting tired. We're getting tired. The unemployment is unconscionable. We don't know what the strategy is. We don't know why on this trip that he's in the United States now, he's not in any black community,” she said in an excerpt also broadcast."
“We’ve had Democrats calling American citizens ‘terrorists’ and ‘hostage takers,’ and now an elected Democratic representative says that we can ‘go straight to hell,’” the group Tea Party Patriots said. “The president and all leaders of the Democratic Party, who have called for civility in the past, are neglecting to censure their own. Is civility only required from their opponents? Perhaps it’s time for a new-NEW era of civility. ... The president’s silence on these latest violations of civility has been deafening, but not surprising.”

This is the most serious problem with the GOP; they are totally afraid of everything. Be it gays, Muslims, Tea Party, Democrats, whatever....they scream bloody murder and stick their heads in the ground like a bunch of ostriches. Remember all of the calls to American, "Be afraid, America...be very afraid..." of everything and anything during the Bush years. These people are the biggest cowards who claim to be patriots that I have ever seen. I fault the Dems for being so dysfunctional that they beat themselves to political death; yet, the alternative is a bunch of screamin', Meamie, cowards!

Uh yeah. Because things were humming along so smoothly before we had tea parties. Riiiigghhtt.
Hey, I'm not going to defend everyone in the tea parties. But I wouldn't defend everyone in any party and this is scapegoating. I haven't taken part in any of the tea parties, but I have to say that I have not seen a movement attacked by the media with so much energy from Day 1 as this movement has been. Sure Fox likes them, but aside from Fox, the media has mocked these people, called them stupid, racist, uninformed, anti-American, etc. and so forth from the very beginning.
It's a stereotype. It's bigotry. You don't like them or you don't agree them. You feel threatened by them. And so you dismiss them with all of these slurs and then scapegoat them by blaming them for everything that's wrong today.
To be sure, some in the tea parties do all of this with Barack Obama or just generally, anyone in government. It's wrong when anyone does it, but the Left is particularly prone to imagining themselves as "more tolerant" and thus they assume it would be impossible for them to stereotype or scapegoat. But that generous self-image is flat out wrong and creates an environment and an attitude that actually promotes bigotry.

What is the Tea Party?
The Tea Party is a grassroots movement that calls awareness to any issue that challenges the security, sovereignty, or domestic tranquility of our beloved nation, the United States of America.
From our founding, the Tea Party is the voice of the true owners of the United States, WE THE PEOPLE.
Many claim to be the founders of this movement — however; it was the brave souls of the men and women in 1773, known today as the Boston Tea Party, who dared defy the greatest military might on earth.
We are the beneficiaries of their courage. By joining the Tea Party, you are taking a stand for our nation. You will be upholding the grand principles set forth in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.

3) the notion govt creates jobs
maybe I am wrong on this... so... are you saying to me or trying to tell me liberals in America oppose those 3 issues???
my stand on those three is fairly simple...
ObamaCare = unconstituional
Illegals = deport immediately
the notion the feds create jobs = insane or socialist.. take your pick

My best advice to the Tea Party: go to the dentist and get your teeth looked at, lose weight to avoid Type 2 diabetes, get a passport and visit nations with strong central governments and see how their quality of life compares to ours, study some economics, and return the filthy lucre of Dick Armey and the Koch Brothers-- and then, and only then, will you be taken as something more than a lethal combination of ignorance and power.
- 14 votes
NON-SENSICAL CORE BELIEFS OF THE TEA PARTY
1. Illegal Aliens Are Here Illegally -- and they are here because the small businesses that fund the TP want them here -- HUGE fines and loss of business license for employing an illegal should do the trick nicely
2. Pro-Domestic Employment Is Indispensable -- agreed
3. Stronger Military Is Essential -- possibly, that depends entirely on Chinese ambitions
4. Special Interests Eliminated -- agreed
5. Gun Ownership Is Sacred -- There is that word -- sacred -- absolute nonsense. Gun ownership is protected by the 2nd amendment -- nothing "sacred" about it, guns aren't mentioned in the bible.
6. Government Must Be Downsized -- If that means doing away with FEMA (as Ron Paul Suggests, or FDA, or...) then the idea is simply too stupid to discuss.
7. National Budget Must Be Balanced -- The national budget should be in surplus in good times and in deficit in bad -- Keynesian economics works (even Reagan knew that, that is why he spent his way out of a recession).
8. Deficit Spending Will End -- a constraint that will lengthen every recession and if implemented today will give you a more or less instant (and permanent) depression.
9. Bail-Out And Stimulus Plans Are Illegal -- the bailout was a Bush initiative and it was the right thing at the time. It saved you from a depression.
10. Reduce Personal Income Taxes A Must -- a perfectly idiotic idea until the debt is payed off, but until the recovery gets moving, tax increases (except on the highest earners) are probably not a good idea.
11. Reduce Business Income Taxes Are Mandatory -- business can talk about having their taxes lowered once they start paying them. While we are at it, businesses are NOT people and should NOT be able to contribute a dime to ANY political activity. Businesses do NOT have a right to free (political) speech.
12. Political Offices Available To Average Citizens -- not a terrible idea, but it won't happen without draconian campaign finance reform -- and I notice the TP isn't talking about anything like that.
13. Intrusive Government Stopped -- agreed, the idea that the government can tell a gay couple they can't marry (the most intrusive POSSIBLE act) is absolutely obscene, but I'll bet you like that kind of pathological intrusion.
14. English As Core Language Is Required -- Racist to the core. Anyone dealing with the government has an absolute right to deal in a language in which they are fluently competent.
15. Traditional Family Values Are Encouraged -- wonderful code words for the kind of racist homophobic bigotry that ensures I will NEVER vote for anyone supported by the TP.
- 13 votes
like the current liberals actually follow that definition... LOL
They do.
1) ObamaCare
What is your idea?
2) Illegals
Needs to be dealt with.
3) the notion govt creates jobs
FDR. New Deal. Look into it.
are you saying to me or trying to tell me liberals in America oppose those issues???
Some do. Some don't. It is still a debate.
ObamaCare = unconstituional
I agree that federal mandate for purchasing anything is unconstitutional. But, that brings us to auto insurance...where do you stand on that? Are you okay with the "government" making the purchase of insurance for your car mandatory?
Illegals = deport immediately
You do that.
the notion the feds create jobs = insane or socialist.. take your pick
FDR. New Deal. Created jobs. Done by the government. Any questions?
All of that is a distraction from the first question. What is your problem with liberal ideology as defined in the link?

The Tea Party is grass roots Americans, we make no Apologies.
We know Obama's record on debt.....and we do not want more of the same.
At the close of business on Aug. 31 - for the first time in the history of the country - the publicly held debt of the federal government topped $10 trillion, according to data released by the U.S. Treasury Department at 4:00 p.m. yesterday.
During Obama's presidency, debt held by the public has now increased by $3.71694 trillion - or almost 59 percent from the $6.3073 trillion in debt held by the public that the government owed to its creditors on Jan. 20, 2009, when Obama was inaugurated.
Gird your loins, the tea party is throwing Obama overboard.

The tea party is not running for President, it's voting for a president and his/her Policies.
It's not a single organization whose leader can be attacked, it's a Nationwide grass roots movement with many leaders and made up of many organizations. DC, 912, maybe you noticed ?
Democrats are now 30 percenters, which is the same as Obama's "approval" ratings. Obama has a record of his first 32 months, and Americans do not like it.

Or it's gangs of foreigners who are jealous of our country! Anybody who doesn't believe in our constitution who is an American citizen, please feel free to leave the country if you don't like it here!
From what I have seen the tea party is not your enemy! You are! Take your anger out on the government not your neighbors! You have called us racists, terrorists, radicals, extremists and teabaggers. You have falsely accused us of spitting on people, calling them the N-word, claiming we want to lynch you and we've been told to go to hell. Jared Loughner shoots Gabby Giffords and before the barrel of the gun cools off the socialist Liberal Lamestream media are already blaming Sarah Palin for targets and the TEA Party, just because that's what they do,,,LIE!
No proof, just hypocritical, vitriolic lies.
When the TEA Party has a rally the place is left cleaner than when it started. Look at the difference between the pristine Lincoln Memorial that was left after Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally and the pig-sty after the mob at the Obama Inauguration, Colbert's "Restoring Truthiness" and the violent mobs rioting in Madison Wisconsin and vandalizing the State Capitol for over $1 MILLION Dollars in damage.
THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE! Remember? More like what RIOTS look like.
14 coward Liberal Progressive senators flee the state of Wisconsin in shame because they can't bribe, lie or extort anyone to get their way, impeding the legislative process. Teachers leave work without approval, dragging the poor students behind them to try and make everyone think they support the riots. The kids didn't even know why they were there. They didn't even know who the Governor was (tenure and pensions before literacy). Teachers getting fake doctors excuses so they can get paid for participating in violent protests instead of teaching. Unions shipping in their thug goons from out of state to intimidate and threaten local business owners if they don't join their strong-arm tactics activism.
THIS IS THE TRUE FACE OF LIBERAL PROGRESSIVES!
You all now you made a horrible and inexcusable mistake in 2008 by voting in this inexperienced, incompetent Junior Senator as president. His socialist policies and irrational Keynesian economics have caused us to lose our envied AAA bond-rating. Progressivism is a failure and it's finally being exposed for the fraudulent system it truly is. Not surprising the amount of anti-teaparty vitriol coming off an article bashing the teaparty. The more germane question would be, what do you propose? Ok, so what should happen in the future? What do all the anti-teaparty people suggest as viable working models for how this country should get out of debt? Or does the debt even concern you?
do you have workable models for the future or is the only thing being offered a continuation of demagoguery? It is easy to bash and name call, it is far more difficult to come up with ideas that are viable. I note that the democrats only seem to offer more spending and borrowing. Is that truly the way to run a government? Where is the money to come from (outside of borrowing) beyond tax the rich, tax the corporations? You do understand that if you took all the money from the rich and the corporations that the debt would still be massive. Of course, asking about the debt seems to be a rhetorical question here.

As far as economic policy goes, Palin says to stop taxing corporations,

and Bachman says to make Glen Beck the economic advisor,
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/02/michele-bachman-glenn-beck-can-solve-our-financial-problems.php
The solution will arrive after the Tea Party is gone in 2012 because they are intending to obstruct all the real solutions.

Expire the tax cuts for the rich TODAY -- reduces annual deficit from 1.3T to 0.5T.
Look seriously at setting a government run single payer health care system up in DIRECT competition to the health insurance companies. We pay twice as much (as a percent of GDP) as the countries in Europe, don't have universal health care and our health care ranks right up there just behind Turkey in effectiveness -- potential savings if we adopt the European system 1T/yr, and we would get better care.
POOF -- solved.
Or take the 'baggie approach ... vicious vacuous cuts to the budget and get an instant (and permanent) depression. There is a reason Wall Street calls it the TP downgrade.
Your call.

After 15 minutes 2 undeniable truths emerge.

In the meantime keep wasting your time here self-aggrandizing yourselves to each each other. In the meantime the TEA Party and real Americans are preparing for the battle of the century in 2012, just as we did in 2010.
Remember, historic elections don't just happen by themselves. We have the pulse of the nation on our side, polls are shifting and opinions are changing. iceman: agreed with removing the insurance companies from Healthcare. There is no way a business can compete with the Federal Government so said business would go out of business. As to a single payer system, what is to prevent the government from turning this into another Post Office overrun and overbudget? Do you think a healthcare 'czar' or single person should be in charge of such a massive department? One of the problems with providing healthcare to 350,000 million people is paying for it without rationing. Witness Britain and the protests going on over rationing. Do you think removing tax loopholes will pay for ever escalating medical costs?
- 7 votes
Healthcare is ALWAYS rationed. Right now your insurance company rations it. In fact it is the ONLY way they can reduce their costs is to deny coverage. Unless you have a VERY unusual policy, it is likely that you can't even take them to court but are limited to arbitration.
The European experience is simple, it costs less (% of GDP) and the results are better pretty much across the board. Our system does better in areas where diagnostic imaging is involved because we WILDLY overuse diagnostic imaging because that is what doctors and hospitals SELL because they know they will be paid BEFORE the service is rendered.
That said, France has an interesting system that mandates a basic level of coverage and allows insurance companies to compete in selling upgrades to the basic level. Once again, their costs are a little over half what ours are (% of GDP) and the effectiveness is MUCH higher.
- 2 votes
As long as the economy is such that said system is sustainable then it works great. Our system (non-system) is such that people have to declare bancruptcy after a catastrohic illness. The concern, as always, is how to pay for it. Does France keep a lid on rising medical costs and if so, how?
There are other issues besides healthcare. How would you deal with SS, since the government keeps putting that money into the general fund? Then, addressing the debt, as I stated in my earlier post, the debt is such that taking ALL the money from the rich and corporations still would not cover the debt or the spiraling interest rates on the debt.
- 7 votes
Iceman6--
To your very sensible proposals, I would add ending two obscenely costly wars, and other military adventurism. That would go a long way to righting the fiscal ship. We should learn something from the dissolution of the USSR after Afghanistan.
- 3 votes
...as I stated in my earlier post, the debt is such that taking ALL the money from the rich and corporations still would not cover the debt or the spiraling interest rates on the debt.
Simply rolling back the Bush tax cuts takes care of 0.7T of the current 1.3T deficit, so the view that taking "all the money" won't close the shortfall is simply wrong (it is, by the way, a common misconception fostered by HARD work from the far right). That simple fix, and fixing health care (just making us as efficient as the Europeans) not only erases the deficit but gives us 0.5T/year surplus to pay down the debt. Those two plus ending the wars gives us 0.9T/yr surplus to pay down the debt -- at that rate and with the low T-bill rates, we'd be at 0 debt in about 16 years (even with a small rise in interest rates as the economy recovers).
Taking Barney Frank's suggestion simply to remove the cap on FICA earnings makes SS sound forever. That one would cost me a lot of money, but it may be the right idea.
As for controlling costs, the European health care systems are not perfect, but they focus on effectiveness. This means that they DON"T spend 60% of their lifetime healthcare costs in the last year of life. They are not wildly overusing diagnostic imaging. They are also not paying for wallet-ectomys in which the doctor and hospital blow through a dying patients insurance to the limit and then move them to the hospice to die.
The thing that you have to understand is that we DO have universal care in the US. The uninsured show up at the emergency room where they CAN'T BY LAW be turned away. We give them care LATE in the disease cycle, and in the most expensive POSSIBLE environment. We send a bill, they don't pay, and the hospital enters THE WHOLE BILL as a loss on their P&L. That loss flows directly into their overhead, and is reflected in the quotes they give the health insurance companies. The insurance companies add their obscene 31% "administrative" fees, and their 13% profit and then quote it to you in the form of increased premiums. And we wonder why our health insurance premiums go up every year. This one is going to KILL American health care as more and more folks lose their health insurance.
- 2 votes
iceman: agreed re healthcare. Unfortunaltely the current HCR bill does nothing to address those issues. Not so agreeable with raising cap on SS. That has been done many times, starting in 1951. They just keep raising the threshold to get more money. Perhaps making SS money exempt from the general fund would go much further there. I noticed that you didn't address who would run the healthcare system. I have a grave concern with one person in charge.

I read all your posts on this thread. You're in fine form, substantively and stylistically well done. Kudos (no Kash).

I have a grave concern with one person in charge.
I share that concern and the concern about HCR. We are talking about 16% of GDP (should be 9% like the Europeans, but it is 16%), that is one hell of a lot of money and there are a LOT of commercial interests out after a piece of that pie.
One of the problems with the government is that corporations have discovered that they can buy our elected representatives and they are doing so. Then they ask for a piece of the pie from their "tame" representative.
I think draconian campaign finance reform would fix a lot of this, but it will be a near-impossible sell. It IS an issue on which Democrats and the Tea Party might agree and ram it through past the corporate interests. THAT would be fun to watch.

You need to go read the history of the end of the Weimar Republic. Then you need to sit down and think VERY seriously about where you and your friends are trying to take America.

I want every American to take care of themselves and their families to the best of their abilities of suffer the consequences they bring upon themselves. I want opportunities to abound outside the purview of the national government and free of any central planning.

The Dictionary has yet to catch up to the Tea party. Here is the latest...
Tea Bagger : One who Bags democrats in office and send them home from DC, or elminates their majority leadership.
Tea Baggee: Nancy Pelosi.
LIAR: Barry Obama on the EPA Ozone rules. Ex., environmental groups were going to file a lawsuit in 2009 about Bush-era ozone rules, and the Obama administration told them, in effect, “Wait, don’t hassle us with a lawsuit, we’re going to propose stricter rules soon.” So the stricter rules were proposed, and the White House has now said, “Sorry, changed our mind.”

Your complaints are eerily similar to those voiced in the beer halls in Munich in the late 20's in response to virtually identical problems. The rhetoric was to return Germany to its "true" values and "true" traditions to "defend" the Vaterland and restore it to former glory and better times.
- 9 votes
And there was nothing wrong with what was said. It was what was done that created trouble. Just like with Obama. His actions tell us where he's taking us and that would be where Germany went, just a different team of thugs and goons and tyrants in charge this time around.
Obama wants to return the seas to their better times, return the atmosphere to its pre-man condition, move America up to the utopia only he can achieve for Americans. Obama never liked America so he doesn't want to return us anywhere, he wants to conquer and purge and smear our image and history. Obama's speech grandiosity is precisly Hitlerian. His actions are proving just as dangerous and destructive, but with different motivations, different scapegoats, different distractions. Obama is a totalitarian minded punk, no doubt, indisputable.

Sadly you don't have enough historical understanding to carry your half of the conversation. You keep making my points for me, but since you haven't the historical basis for comparison you can't see the parallel.
Go away and read the history of the rise of the Third Reich and decide for yourself which side of the current debate you want to join. History says pretty plainly that you are on the wrong side now.

Officials Back Off $7.5M Capitol Cleanup Estimate
Updated: 11:22 am CST March 6, 2011
MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin officials now say the cost to repair damage at the state Capitol could be as low as $350,000.

MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin officials now say the cost to repair damage at the state Capitol could be as low as $350,000.

So. ONLY in the convoluted delusional mind of a Liberal Progressive is ONLY $350,000 dollars of damage to the State Capitol acceptable. Had that been a TEA Party protest we would still be hearing about it from the Liberal Lamestream media about the terrorism and anger.
Lie I said, your delusion is only surpassed by your hypocrisy.
In most common-sense, responsible, mannered societies $1 DOLLAR of damage is considered excessive. What compels you Liberal Progressives to assume that everything you do in the name of social and economic justice for the collective is acceptable? Even to the point of vandalism, violent protests, bribery, racketeering and extortion.
Would you accept an enraged mob to come to your home and cause tens of thousands of dollars in damage just because they have an agenda? NO! But here, as this violent and at times out of control mob scene the world was subjected to, was somehow, acceptable.
I think you need to reevaluate who is feeding who BULLS**T. You certainly are being fed quite a bit of it by the socialists and their bourgeios elititsts that can't wait to reduce all of you into their wonderful proletariat.

No one leader and operates in cells so the collective can accept responsibility or have "plausible deniability" depending on the current agenda.
pushes a religious agenda
Really? Give me some examples.
Ron Paul. Rick Scott. Michelle Bachman(n?).
Well, around 50 people showed up to hear Becks BS. Mobs of folks showed to the other events.
really? Again, you butt can be handed to you on this one as well. Please, your pseudo intellectualism doesn't wear so well on you.
It was hyperbole. :) For the sake of humor in OPINION.
And you have the audacity to call me a moron for asking for your sources.
You asked for sources on the internet for my opinion. I don't need one. Asking for one is moronic.
You MADE the friggin claims now back them up!
I posted an opinion.
It's called Debate 101.
No. It's just an opinion.

So, there ya go, tiger. I don't like your political party. I think it is a bunch of reactionary pinheads who need to be lead around by the nose by "leaders" because they are either too lazy or too unintelligent to learn the process of government on their own. And, to top it all off, they act like tampon tough guys about it.
That is my opinion...if you need the source, look in a mirror.

Liberals project their daily KOS profiles and get "banned", and then Re-Reg, all the time accusing Conservatives of their profile, "banned and re-reg". It's called "projecting", you accuse your political opponents of doing what you do.
The "tea racist" thing is passé and so is the "radical" label, false accusations with no substance to support them.

Not with me you haven't. You just butted in and talked down to me.
But you don't listen!
I read your post and then responded to each sentence.
I tried listening to the left's point of view but none of it makes any sense, it is riddled with hate and rhetoric so it tends to get my hackles up a little bit.
Do you have any examples of the leftist hate speech that seems to get under your skin? Perhaps if we take a look at the language you can understand why conversations seem to take that course. While we are at it, could you please point out what is "leftist" about my posts? I simply posed the question at 1.44 looking for what was wrong with ---> LIBERAL IDEOLOGY<----. I have made no claims to any thought process so, calm down.
Nothing personal.
Not until I pull out facts. Then you will cleverly misspell my name, make ad hominem attacks and generally denigrate me personally hoping that it somehow solidifies your viewpoint. It doesn't.
I'm just tired of the constant war going on, citizen against citizen, it's enough to make a person ashamed to be an American!
Uh huh. And, you're answer to that frustration is not to solve the problem or even treat the symptom but to plead for silence so you can feel better about being an American. Free speech isn't for the weak or timid. If your frustration bothers you that much, unplug and go bowling.
This is what I think about the leftists opinion about the tea party!
Is there some reason you needed to address me for that?

It is not my intention to talk down to anyone, but sometimes I come across a few people that can only spew out hate and rhetoric, with such words as racists, T baggers, right wing nuts! They talk in circles yet acomplish nothing of any value. I apologize if I made you feel like I was talking down to you. After reading so much crap from the left it forces your mind into a fixed mousetrap that springs whenever someone starts tossing of the usual talking points and rhetoric without even reading about the subjects they are trying to comment on. They ignore any kind of links that prove an opinion correct or just completely deny it or say it has been debunked when it hasn't and then continue by shooting the messenger. Most of this stuff happens from the leftists. I don't hold to any political affiliation myself, I try to research from neutral sites whenever possible. have even snuck in sites that are pro leftist just to see if they got read! then had leftist tell me they are BS and insult me! that proved they don't read the links that are posted! they just like to hear themselves speak and see how many people they can piss off. It gets old fast.

I don't care about your opinion. YOU addressed ME. In fact, YOU butted IN!

drummerboy
If you don't care about the opinion of anyone else then why would you think anyone else would care about your opinion.
Scroll up and READ IT AGAIN!!!!! No where does it state that I do not care for the opinion of "anyone else". I don't care about ET's opinion of the left. It simply has no value to me. I have that right as do you.
Next, this is a public forum, butting in is pretty much S.O.P.
I get that. Butting in and being derisive halfway through a conversation without understanding where it started or what the topic is NOT S.O.P. If it is for you, then you will find yourself being intellectually slapped on the nose time after time. Simply because you will have no intellectual ground to stand on in a conversation where parameters have been set.
So, either one of you want to answer the question I posed (1.44) or have something to say about the topic? Or are you so enamoured with me that your minds simply can't concoct a sentence because my presence is so distracting?
- 6 votes
Hayte,
This is what you said in a nutshell word for word:
I don't care about your opinion. YOU addressed ME. In fact, YOU butted IN!
Regardless of whether that statement was meant for one person or many, the fact remains that if you don't care about someone's opinion, then why should anyone care about yours? You weren't specific, you generalized by saying this:
I don't care about your opinion.
BY generalizing this statement you leave the statement open to interpretation. As for the butting in part, it happens all the time around here and I seriously doubt you'll be doing any intellectual nose slapping anytime soon, especially after reading that last lil tidbit of narcissism.
- 4 votes
drummerboy, I'm not sure you have a knowledge of what specific is opposed to general.
If I had stated to ET, I don't care about opinion. That would be a general statement because it lacks the specific notation in the use of the word "your". Sadly for your post, that is not the case. I DID include the specific use of the word "your" which makes it a specific statement to ET.
- 6 votes
Hayte, you're attempting to make an argument you have no chance of winning. Obviously you're unaware the word "YOUR" can be singular as well as plural. Don't try to twist what is already written in black and white. Regardless, my point stands that if you don't care about anyone's opinion, then don't expect anyone, whether a specific person or people in general to care about yours. And don't cry about people butting into a conversation on a public website either. If you don't want people "Butting In", then you should hold your conversation in private.
- 5 votes
Hayte, you're attempting to make an argument you have no chance of winning.
Uh huh.
Obviously you're unaware the word "YOUR" can be singular as well as plural.
You maintain that even in the face of the fact that my use of the word "your" was in RESPONSE to the person I was being specific to. ET.
Don't try to twist what is already written in black and white.
lulz.
Regardless, my point stands that if you don't care about anyone's opinion, then don't expect anyone, whether a specific person or people in general to care about yours.
Your (specific to you) point does NOT stand. You are desperately trying to prop it up by willfully misinterpreting basic syntax to maintain a position that is unwarranted. And, again, no where in that post will you find any indication that I was referring to "anyone's" opinion. It was in response to ET and it was in response to that post SPECIFICALLY. Not GENERALLY.
And don't cry about people butting into a conversation on a public website either.
I can do as I please and there isn't thing one you can do about it, scooter.
If you don't want people "Butting In", then you should hold your conversation in private.
Nowhere do I state that "I don't want people butting in". I do state that if one is to butt in, one should have an understanding of the conversation. Essentially, don't jump into the convesation and be judgemental until you understand the parameters of the conversation. And, on top of that, ET understood it. We are cool (as fa ras I'm concerned). And, I would happily engage ET with no ill will. Scroll up.
So, back off, man. You are in error. The use of the word "your" was in response (and quoted as such) to ET. The "butting in" thing was specific to that event. That is not a judgement of ET or any poster, but specific to this instance and THAT post.
But, now that we are here, I do enjoy that your pride and lack of education has found you without a leg to stand on. You might want to look into that behavioral mechanic and try to correct it. You are going to find that the behavior you are displaying in maintaining a manufactured viewpoint is one that will not win you many discussions or friends.

Puhleeze! Political cartoons and slogans are designed to be insulting, anti-establishment, and non-complimentary. Otherwise, how do you get across your disgust for the opponents views? Some people are idiots and go to far. It happens all the time on both sides of the fence. They think they have some kind of right to "free speech" or something stupid like that. Go figure...

Very Valid. This continual search for the perfect 100% nirvana is a pointless exercise, life is a compromise, deal with it as they say. This continual, and increasing, move towards perpetual negative invective based political stance stifles positive thinking and moving forward.
It maybe easy to be negative - and it certainly is - but it achieves squat, the problem(s) are still there when the moaning stops. May not get all someone wants by Voting, but at least its moving forward. Not this perpetual moaning stagnation.

So you are voting against someone, not voting for someone. Welcome to my world. The last person I voted "for" would have been Bush senior in his run against R. Reagan. And I still think Bush got hijacked in his re-election bid. His "no new taxes" killed him when he compromised with the democrats for the promised future cuts that never happened. He compromised with them on tax hikes then they held it against him in the election for breaking promises and his own party killed him for it. Even Reagan got fooled on that one but he had an almost Kennedy-like quality that allowed him to absorb the counter ideology move he made. I was a republican until Reagan. Don't get me wrong, not everything he did was bad. But it turned me off to the GOP; the last straw was the war on drugs and raising the drinking age to 21 (you can get the death penalty, die for your country, get married, vote but can't buy a damned beer? )

Since I don't follow any political parties or ideologies I get my entertainment from both sides of the political arena! But I have to admit the left is far more entertaining! It is like they have a hive mentality. Not much room for independent thought and extremely predictable.

Show me an article on Newswhine that is positive toward the Tea Party? I can't find one. Progressive liberal policies don't work, they fail everytime and the party in control is running scared. The POTUS is a failure, the Democratically controlled Senate can do nothing, but maintain the status quo, out of control deficit spending and unsustainable social welfare programs. That is their base, those with their hands out and dependent and subsurvient to a government, what a miserable existence. It is modern day slavery and the Democrats are the slave masters.
The Tea Party offers real "Hope and Change" to the status quo, and all the progressive potty mouths can do is criticize, smear and spread lies because they have no plan, ziltch. You "guys" lost the debate a long time ago. Let's change the channel again and go back to blaming George Bush and Dick Cheney.

It is abundantly clear today, and accepted by most Americans, that the country is moving in the wrong direction, both politically and economically. Therefore, today I support the Tea Party movement; I don't rally with them or march with them but I support them because I believe they are the only group that can be a catalyst for reform of our political and economic system. In support of this statement I will speak of only five issues.

A word from TeaParty.Org
Remember Our Heroes, For Freedom Isn't Free. Many of America's dilemmas lay squarely on the shoulders of We The People, while economics issues rest in the hands of small business. We must not define ourselves by the calamities in our lives, but by our resolve to pick up the pieces and move on.
Citizens have been frustrated by "Politics As Usual" for a very long time. Patriots across America demanded a new voice, a voice which echoed from the pages of history. The Tea Party was the perfect choice... Why not an organization called the Tea Party? It was too obvious. Our American heritage held the key to unleashing the American Spirit.
The Tea Party dream includes all who possess a strong belief in the foundational Judaic/Christian values embedded in our great founding documents. He believes the responsibility of our beloved nation is entrenched within the hearts of true American Patriots from all walks of life, every race, religion and national origin, all sharing a common belief in the values which made and keep our beloved nation great. This belief led to the creation of the Modern Day Tea party. Many Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Green and Independent Citizens identify with the premises set forth by the newly founded Tea Party movement, striking a chord and ringing true with the American Spirit.
It was the Constitution that is inherently conservative, not a party. I believe there must be a beacon to the masses that have lost their way, a light illuminating the path to the original intentions of our Founding Fathers. We must raise a choir of voices declaring; America must stand on the values that made us great. Only then the politically blind shall see and the deaf shall hear!
The Power of One can change a nation, save a people and illuminate a generation

I started to read this article, to try to understand what the author had against a group of Americans. I had to stop when I got to the part where he accuses Tea Party elected officials of passing legislation illegally. Really? Is the Tea Party so dominant in today's political scenery that they can pass legislation all by themselves? Or, as I suspect, there might be a hint of rhetoric in this author's writings. The "Koch Tea Party" is a figment of the Liberal loser's imagination. They seek an explanation for the 2010 Pelosi bagging by the tea party.
Their rationale is that "real grass roots" could not have done that, moving in 63 new DC representatives, the Tea Party must have been "bought" by some rich guy, like Soros, or like the Obamacare votes were bought by Obama and friends, or the Porkulus buy out.
As dealers in astroturf, Liberals cannot recognized the real thing, grass roots.
- 6 votes
I think Monsanto produces artificial grass and they didn't pay any taxes since the pubs/baggers were generous enought and gave them numerous loop holes and government subsidies. So if anyone is the "artificial grass roots movement" it would be the pubs / baggers........you know the guys who believe in corporate welfare because "corporations are people"
- 4 votes
Coporations are nothing without the people they employ. Millions of Americans eat and live well because Corporations are healthy money makers.
Obama gave 535 million to a Solar Energy Corporation.......It's failed, and the people along with it.
I fail to see a point in Liberal bashing of Corporations, I see a Communist / Marxist point, but then, this is America. We have a capitalist system, ya know ?
- 3 votes
We also have a socialist system in place too. Thank goodness.

Obama gave 535 million to a Solar Energy Corporation
The company's name is Solyndra. No one gave them any money. The DOE guaranteed $527 in loans for them, there will probably be losses from the guarantees, but we don't know what they will be yet.
They were killed by the Chinese subsidies to their solar energy industry. Chinese solar manufacturing capacity is growing by leaps and bounds while ours are going out of business and the clowns on the right (who enjoy paying $4/gal for gas) are all cheering.
So go right on celebrating another "Obama failure" while the Chinese eat your children's lunch.
A rational question might have been how to put the US solar industry on a sound footing so that it really can compete with the Chinese rather than celebrating the failure of a US company as an opportunity to make another whining wingy speech.

1. Eliminate Excessive Taxes
The top rate of tax is 'excessive'? Absurd. It's the lowest it's been in history. More elimination of taxes will just reinforce the growing divide in your country. Hardly 'uniting'
2. Eliminate the National Debt
The debt ceiling debate showed that this is most certainly not a priority. Unless, well, a Democrat is in office. Hypocrites.
3. Eliminate Deficit Spending
Again, not a priority. Elimination of the national endowment of the arts? Pitiful.
4. Protect Free Markets
What does that even mean, Huh? Are the free markets threatened? Besides, no Western economy has a truly free market. Thankfully, it doesn't exist. We have the excesses and try to mitigate their destructive tendencies. At least, we used to. Our adherence to neo-liberal economic theory (which even RON PAUL admits is a disaster) has ruined our nations balance sheets and almost destroyed our respective economies. How people can be calling for less regulation at this point is amazing, frankly.
5. Abide by the Constitution of the United States
Romantic babble.
6. Promote Civic Responsibility
I've never seen such a brazen assault on the working/middle class than by this generation of Republic...sorry, 'Tea Party' congressional leaders. Civic responsibility? My arse!
7. Reduce the Overall Size of Government
No concrete plan exists on how to do this. The only one was the Paul Ryan plan, which was an outright fantasy IIRC. Some of the numbers in that thing were truly laughable. What wasn't was the transparent assault on middle/working class people under the guise of saving the nation. We're doing this experiment in Britain, too. Hopefully it ends with the Tories being driven out of power. By any means necessary.
8. Believe in the People
I do. Your lot wish to masquerade as the 'people' and then rob them blind. Anyone who is working class and votes Republican are metaphorically kicking themselves in the balls.
9. Avoid the Pitfalls of Politics
What?
10. Maintain Local Independence
I agree with this in principle. However, from what I can see, all 'local' governance appears to wish to circumnavigate Obama's proposals so that they don't work on a national level. Some 'Civic responsibility' that is.
Mark my words. I put money on the Tea Party gradually disappearing, especially if a Republican wins in 2012. Then we'll all know what we all suspected; that it was a b**l@!$%#, astroturf, corporately funded experiment to artificially influence public debate and re-brand the Republicans. At the moment it is phenomenally successful.

Obama and the rest of DC works for us. If they go against the people we have state and local options to limit the power of the feds. They do not rule over us. They are pubic servants and we are the public. We have 50 states each having latitude to do things their way to the right or left..

I work for a living and pay Fed,state,FICA and medicare taxes. The debt ceiling does not affect my income, but it does affect my children and the future of this country. The John Birch Society Tea Party will pay dearly for hurting my family's future.
- 18 votes
Ahhh crap:
I must ask you to define exactly what it was that the Tea Party has done to hurt your family's future? Is it that a few of the elected officials in Washington, who are of the Tea Party refused to accept the raising of the debt ceiling? If that is your claim of the Tea Party hurting your children's future, you have it backwards. If we continue to rack up the debt that this current administration is on course for, your children will owe 90 to 110 % of everything they make just to pay the interest on the debt. Is that the future you want for your children?
- 5 votes
AhhCrap....sorry but my point was all political parties use fear tactics but you already know that. As to the JBS thing ,cute in a childish way. Sorry but the whole name calling thing degrades whatever point you were trying to make.imo last I am sure that as of your posting the TP is shaking in their shoes in fear of you.lol

I know that I can spend years building a sturdy house that can be destroyed in minutes by some self-serving fool. That is what these so called "representatives" did when they took down the credit rating. I want my children to be able to borrow money to build and if they are able to get that money, not have to pay interest that would make that loan impossible. These representatives are only representing themselves and need to go away as soon as possible. I will do whatever is necessary to insure that happens.
- 8 votes
Ahh crap:
You honestly believe that the credit rating was downgraded because the Tea Party refused to vote on raising the debt ceiling? Are you positive it wasn't because we already owed 14.3 trillion dollars and can show no way to pay it down? It is the Tea Party that is trying to help the future for your children by refusing to continue down a path that insures total failure. Please, for the sake of your children, open up your eyes, and start thinking, instead of believing everything that left-wing media spouts. The truth is in the numbers. Run them yourself. Don't listen to the exact same people who got us into this mess. If the Democrats are the answer, then why can't they show any reduction in the debt at anytime they held control of Congress or the White House? Even if you believe the lie about Clinton leaving a surplus, do your own homework. Go to the federal websites that show the US debt on a yearly basis. Try to find a year in the last 60 that we have reduced the debt. If you find it, try to determine who was in control of either house or the White House at that time. I am not telling you which party is good or bad. I am telling you to do your own legwork and come to your own conclusions. Both Republicans and Democrats have made this problem worse. Neither is innocent. Neither has the answers.

Grover Norquist
The first nationwide tea parties in February of 2009 were co-sponsored by Americans for Tax Reform, whose president, Grover Norquist is a charter member of the secretive Council for National Policy (CNP). Norquist married a Muslim woman in 2005 and has since converted. Link Allegedly his donations to Muslim charities also fund Al Qaeda. The association of Norquist and Islamists became known in 1998, when he became the founding chairman of an organization called the Islamic Free Market Institute, better known as the Islamic Institute. Norquist is also a lobbyist for Bill Gates' Microsoft.

Grover Glenn Norquist (born October 19, 1956) is president of a taxpayer advocacy group, Americans for Tax Reform. He has been described as "the driving force in pushing the Republican Party toward an ever-more rigid position of opposing any tax increase, of any kind, at any time."[9]
- 2 votes
Norquist is best known for founding Americans for Tax Reform in 1985, which he did at the request of President Ronald Reagan.[15] The primary policy goal of Americans for Tax Reform is to reduce the percentage of the GDP consumed by the federal government.[8][16] ATR states that it "opposes all tax increases as a matter of principle."[17] Americans for Tax Reform seeks to curtail government spending by supporting Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TABOR) legislation[18] and transparency initiatives,[19] and opposing cap-and-trade legislation[20] and Democratic efforts to overhaul health care.[21]
In 1993, Norquist launched his Wednesday Meetings series at ATR headquarters, initially to help fight President Clinton's healthcare plan and eventually becoming one of the most significant institutions in American conservative political organizing.[12]
In 2009, Norquist received $200,000 in annual compensation for his part-time job (24 hours per week) with Americans for Tax Reform, plus an addition $22,419 other compensation from the organization and related organizations.[22]

newwtricks, please stop acting so brand new about the teabaggers. Standard & Poors even stated that the political brinkmanship over the debt ceiling played a big part in their decision to downgrade the US credit rating. That brinkmanship was entirely the work of the republican teabaggers who walked away from practically any deal the President and Democrats tried to make, right up until the last minute, just to get tax cuts for rich people like the Koch brothers. Remember that the republicans' stated goal is to make President Obama a "one term President," not to help the country out of a recession they created. The teabaggers ARE the republican party and their goals to make President Obama fail are in line with each other.
You can pretend that the teabaggers are some all new 'grassroots' movement of ALL AMERICANS, but most of us outside the teabagger GOP can see it for what it really is. You will see how much we know about the teabagger GOP next election.

Independents will decide the election. It is upon your shoulders whether we as a nation continue in the light or go down the the dark path with the baggers. JMO

Yellow Dog D.:
I can't seem to fing the link between corporate and the Tea Party. What exactly is that link? Are you implying that by reducing the federal debt that somehow is a good thing for corporations? Can you elaborate on this? In the past 60 years, there has been almost an equal amount of time where Democrats and Republicans have held control over Congress and the White House. In that time has either party made a difference? Just look at all of the promises made, on both sides over the past 6 decades. Then look at the results of those promises. It isn't too hard to figure out that both sides are in it for themselves. By supporting a new political party that has reducing our debt as a mainstay of it's existence, how is it that you seem to believe that Democrats, who have had the power at different times over 6 decades, and NEVER were able to reduce the debt by even $1.00, are now the party to back up and promote?

The Tea Party (GOP) will become extinct.

MJL . I think personally thats wishful thinking on your part , you see , on the national statge , only one office is voted on by the entire country , and thats the head of the Executive branch , the rest are voted on by individuals from individual states , so the Gop , dems , tp , whatever party wont ever become extinct . they might suffer set backs , but those ideas wont ever go away .

MJL , i would say that at this point in time is opinion , but in the case he is , he still faces some up hill struggles . My personal choices will be to remain "retired " not do any investing ,mitigate any tax liability I can legally , and simply sit back and enjoy life . though the president , and moreso Congress can make the rules of the game , no one is forced or has to play the game . My views on this admin are mine and mine alone . if i dont like the rules , i dont have to play now do i , and i can find ways not to play .
Remember there is no law that says one has to invest , no law that says one has to have an income , no law that says one must earn interest to be taxed on . without those things , the government has no revenue now do they?
Now before you answer , though i think SOME of the TP statements hold some merit , such as size of government , duplications of agencies responsabilities having abalanced budget , control spending to managable levels as well as not go into debt in the first place , can be addressed , i dont adhere to a theological outlook , but that religion is apersonal matter , but one i recognize will have an effect on how one makes choices . I belong to the religion of no religion s meaning im an atheist . so frankly i dont buy the spiel that i am responsable for anyone else , be it to feed them cloth them or pay for their well being and wants , let alone their needs , thank the waning of religion for that .
To put it simply , you can spend your money however you want , that is your choice , and right , the right the progressives dont have though , is demanding that I spend it along with them on things i disagree with or can see is a waste , If i choose not to spend thats my choice , it just means you havent made a persuasive enough argument , and wont have the funds , eventually the money runs out , no matter how much one has .
Some one said the credit downgrade was because of a failure to increase the debt limit , thats only part of the story , the other important part was cutting spending enough , and in that , there was no agreement on where to cut . those are only 2 aspects in a myraid of all the aspects involved , some can argue that increasing taxes was another aspect and i would tend to agree to a point . It is not all black and white , and at the risk of sounding like an apologist or appeaser , all sides of the political spectrum has blame to share in the matter .

So what do Tea Partiers have in common? They are overwhelmingly white, but even compared to other white Republicans, they had a low regard for immigrants and blacks long before Barack Obama was president, and they still do.
More important, they were disproportionately social conservatives in 2006 — opposing abortion, for example — and still are today. Next to being a Republican, the strongest predictor of being a Tea Party supporter today was a desire, back in 2006, to see religion play a prominent role in politics. And Tea Partiers continue to hold these views: they seek "deeply religious" elected officials, approve of religious leaders' engaging in politics and want religion brought into political debates. The Tea Party's generals may say their overriding concern is a smaller government, but not their rank and file, who are more concerned about putting God in government.
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/17/opinion/crashing-the-tea-party.html
The Founding Fathers would be appalled by the Tea Party. It was the fear of EXACTLY this kind of nonsense that caused them to write the first amendment forcing the separation of church and state.

Newwtricks,
I can't seem to fing the link between corporate and the Tea Party.
You can't? Koch brothers funds the Tea Party, and Koch under wrote the John Birchers. Koch has the Tea Party House, part of the GOP and a couple of members of the Supreme Court in their pocket. Koch Industries is # 10 of the top 100 polluters in the U.S. and the Tea Party candidates want to defund the EPA. Bachmann says she will lock the doors and turn out the lights on the EPA.
All of it is aligned with big corporation and as long as the Tea Party sits in ignorance the worse it gets. Medicare is next in line to be hit, and all those who held up signs saying "Don't touch my Medicare" well guess what, Medicare is going to be touched. For those who think that reducing Medicare reimbursements to providers won't touch recipients are crazy. Suppliers are corporations and they aren't in the business of charity. So if they get cut the benefits will be cut and all seniors will be impacted.
Perry says Social Security is a Ponzi scheme.....people get real and look at what these people are espousing because it has NOTHING to do with middle America or benefiting the country.
You want to know who made money by having the credit rating dropped in the U.S. Erik Cantor, because he invested in futures that benefited directly from the downgrade.

The Tea Party is a myth. There is not one shred of true patriotism.
You say you are for the people, but which people?
You say are for freedom yet deny those freedoms to your fellow Americans.
You say you are for low taxes yet push legislation that taxes the poorest among us while rewarding the rich.
You claim to support the constitution yet breach the seperation of church and state.
You say you want to create jobs for Americans yet refuse to fund infrastructure that would do just that.
There is no substance merely more GOP hate, fear and lies.
The Tea Party is not just the enemy of Democrats it is the enemy of America
- 17 votes
You are spewing nothing but talking points. You have not addressed a single issue.
Jobs, Taxing the poor, ignoring the Constitution you just repeat the same tired debunked garbage.
Explain how giving millionaires tax breaks while raising them on the poor supports your country?
Explain how ignoring seperation embraces the constitution?
Explain how offshoring jobs and refusing to fund infrastructure helps your fellow Americans?
You wont or you can't.
All you have is a foaming at the mouth hatred for the POTUS or any person who disagrees with your myopic point of view and attempt to destroy Medicare, Soc sec and Veteran's benefits.
Sorry, you have the fringe, the Jesus-rode-a-dinasaur-Obama-is-a-Muslim crowd, that you're hateful dreck attracts and that may be fine and well to stir up the pot.

Ask and you shall receive Lynn. It never fails, when ever a comment is made about Obama the Lefties automatically consider it a lie, right off the bat without even considering if the comment is true. Who cares if he's retiring Lynn, Soros's money will continue funding and supporting Left wing causes long after he's dead. If you think he isn't funding Obama you're naive. You should do some of your own homework, you might learn something.

In December of 2006, Soros, who had previously hosted a fundraiser for Obama during the latter's 2004 Senate campaign, met with Obama in Soros's New York office. Just a few weeks later¯on January 16, 2007¯Obama announced that he would form a presidential exploratory committee and was contemplating a run for the White House. Within hours, Soros sent the senator a contribution of $2,100,
Later that week, the New York Daily News reported that Soros would support Obama rather than Hillary Clinton for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination, though Soros pledged to back the New York senator were she to emerge as the nominee.1 But it was clear that Soros considered Obama to be the more electable candidate of the two. Most importantly, Obama's economic and political prescriptions for America were wholly accordant with those of Soros.

If your battle against the Tea Party is based on how "bad" they are and fear for the future only; if you don't have something to offer then your chances aren't good. They are clear on what they want to do and how they feel. The democratic strategy is to demean and smear them. What do the democrats offer in their favor besides "we are not them"? You are coming up with reasons to not vote for the Tea Party; where are the reasons to vote for progressives? That there is your problem; you have no message to sell to the people; well none they will buy anyways.
- 7 votes
No need to demean you. You have done it yourself:
The GOP will raise taxes — on the middle class and working poor
America’s presumably anti-tax party wants to raise your taxes. Come January, the Republicans plan to raise the taxes of anyone who earns $50,000 a year by $1,000, and anyone who makes $100,000 by $2,000.
Their tax hike doesn’t apply to income from investments. It doesn’t apply to any wage income in excess of $106,800 a year. It’s the payroll tax that they want to raise — to 6.2 percent from 4.2 percent of your paycheck, a level established for one year in December’s budget deal at Democrats’ insistence. Unlike the capital gains tax, or the low tax rates for the rich included in the Bush tax cuts, or the carried interest tax for hedge fund operators (which is just 15 percent), the payroll tax chiefly hits the middle class and the working poor.

the progressives are selling a avante garde attitude look what i dare to do. they are wealthy white liberals that want to be identified,as a champion of the poor, and downtrodden. they use the hollywood set, springsteen, the arts etc..... they believe in the concept of god,but want to give us a sense that being humanistic, and writing a check to unicef. takes care of any real belief. they have their cocktail parties invite harry belafonte, jesse jackson, and al sharpton. to look benevolent to the race issues. that as hippies in the 60's they exaserbated. the right just believes that. jesus was the only blond haired blue eyed arab. that capitalism would be the economic choice of jesus. it says so in the bible. they want to blame blue collar workers, police, fireman, teachers, and nurses for being greedy. they are all in favor of bailing out bankers that mortgage america to the hilt. were in agreement to give our currency, and technology to a corrupt brutal government. here is the kicker. at the end of the day progressive,or right wing. they both qualify for the reagan, and "w" tax cuts. the t-party grass roots people. will find out abruptly. that bachman, ryan, and cantor are tied in with the sacrificial lambs that lost their 6-7 figure wall street job's. in 2008. they had to take lesser job's pay taxes for the first time. learn to be creative. to stretch a dollar. like us workers, and the poor have done in good, and bad times. at the end of the day they all return to the hampton's,or malibu beach.

My Mother and many of my relatives were Republicans, some still are. My Mother has passed away, but she would never recognize her party as it is today. They have been overtaken by the Teaturds and they have to ask permission and get their approval on everything. What happened that you GOPers let them run you and tell you how high to jump? I cannot for the life of me understand that. Do you think Eisenhower or Reagan would have ever allowed that, or even have remained in your party in its present form? You have traded your souls to the devil with this bunch, and you are getting what you asked for. How happy does that make you?

He would be appalled at this administrations all-out attack on business interests in this country. He would be appalled at the over-reaching, cradle to grave nanny state which once used to be the United States of America. Every time you want to bad-mouth the GOP, you best look in the mirror, point the finger at yourself and go..."The Democrat Party is full of Hugo Chavez wannabe's." It is a sorry-ass state we find ourselves in...no political party is blameless, yet the Democrats are abject cowards, and that includes their current leader, our President.

The Tea Party is the enemy to who? Marxists? Communists? Socialists? Where do you leftists get this sh!t? The Tea Party defends freedom, liberty, and property rights. They believe that a larger, more powerful government equals a smaller, less powerful YOU. They believe that you cannot "create" more public sector jobs that are funded off the backs of private sector wage earners. They believe that you reap what you sow. They believe that this country is rapidly sinking into third world oblivion. And I believe they are correct. And I make no apologies.
- 4 votes
third world oblivion is an accurate assumption. bachman, cantor, paul, and ryan are instruments of that plan. the wrong people are being blamed for the economic crisis. it has been driven by wall street greed. mortgaging our country to the brink of destruction. the plan is to make the working class blue collar worker a part of that third world. our currency, our technology. has been given over to abrutal corrupt government. as the keeper. the organizations that sanctioned this. are idolized by the afore mentioned candidates. using misguided, ill informed grassroots idealogy . that going back to the old days is the way to solve this. all of has to pay our fair share. poor as well as wealthy to fix it. if u think the candidates u are backing will do this when the time comes to fullfill their promise. i pity u. they will abolish ur precios second amendment pronto!

Hi Lynn, I have to laugh when I read your comments! I am known to "give as good as I get" and I see that you do also. It gets to be such a drag listening to all of their falsehoods and innuendos, though that I really get exasperated at times trying to answer all of their "tomfoolery". They know the things they state are untrue but they state them anyway.
It must feel awful to hate a person (the President) the way some of them do and there is no hope for them, so I just leave them to their own devices and let them talk to each other.
You will see that I don't argue with any of them; they are just trying to pick a fight and get into a tit for tat, name-calling, hate spewing contest where you can easily get caught up in violations of COH (which they will never comprehend because they don't understand; they think it has something to do with Freedom of Speech-which it doesn't!).
So suffice it to say that for those who enjoy the banter back and forth, it is perfectly ok. I tried for 2 years to dialogue with "them". but no more.
For people like me, I am very easily fed up trying to talk to the "dining room table" as Congressman Barney Frank refers to it. In addition, it is difficult for me to engage with racists of any kind and this is what most of the President's opponents are.
Congressman Frank is correct!

we avoided a depression.
Depends on your definition of "depression".
In economics, a depression is a sustained, long-term downturn in economic activity in one or more economies. It is a more severe downturn than a recession, which is seen by some economists as part of the modern business cycle.
Considered, by some economists, a rare and extreme form of recession, a depression is characterized by its length, by abnormally large increases in unemployment, falls in the availability of credit— often due to some kind of banking or financial crisis, shrinking output—as buyers dry up and suppliers cut back on production, and investment, large number of bankruptcies—including sovereign debt defaults, significantly reduced amounts of trade and commerce—especially international, as well as highly volatile relative currency value fluctuations—most often due to devaluations. Price deflation, financial crises and bank failures are also common elements of a depression that are not normally a part of a recession.
I would say this qualifies for a "Depression" although probably most Obama supporters wouldn't go that far until we exceed the Great Depressions stats.
Actuall, 9.1 but the hell with details.
Yes details are such a pain. Kind of like these:
The truth is that even the broader measure of unemployment doesn't fully capture how difficult the job market is for U.S. workers. It doesn't include self-employed workers whose incomes have shriveled. It doesn't look at former full-time employees who have accepted short-term contracts, without benefits, and at a fraction of their former salaries. And it doesn't count the many would-be workers who are going back to school, taking on more debt, in hopes that advanced degrees will improve their chances of landing jobs.
Add those in and you are looking at over 22% according to some estimates--only 6% lower than the Great Depression!
Throw in these bank failures just for giggles. A pinch of bankruptcies and a hint of dollar fluctuations lasting over 3 years now and WALLAH!; we have a Depression...

King, Quit with the sanctimonious attitude. Grae's response is right on target as it is a result of 3 years of continued name calling, attacks and demeaning. Did you all think that you would receive accolades for your treatment of your fellow Americans? You are now getting what you've gave.
- 5 votes
Damn Strait! If you can't stand the heat BAGGERS don't turn the damn stove on! If it one thing I can't stand it's a whiner who whines after starting the stuff in the first place.
- 4 votes
sorry but there hasnt been 3 years of hate directed at grae.
- 3 votes
And the same would apply to you so why the hell are you taking it so personally?
- 4 votes
because i am a tea party member, you know the one thats been targeted as the enemy, the one that is part of the group to be taken out. because i am an Amewrican that is under direct assult from the left fo rnothing more than being a little differant.
- 3 votes
So are the Dems but we happen to be able to take it better then you because you and your ilk have been assaulting us and our liberties for years. Here a clue you can take back to you next bagger meeting "The American people who do not agree with you or your views will not have their rights and liberties violated any more than you will so if you got it bring it but you bring it be able to take it!"
- 5 votes
so let me ask you whats better, white on black racism or black on white?
- 3 votes
Ah!!! Now we get to the crux of the matter don't we. How about you answer you own question. Which do YOU believe is the BETTER racism? I think if you can answer that one truthfully you will find the root of what is wrong with your ideology, your bagger movement, and yourself.

We all need to keep the discussion and anger about the topic, not about each other. I don't like the Tea Party as an organization, but that doesn't mean I dislike everyone who belongs to the Tea Party. For some reason this seed has really created alot of anger between people, just do what I do, block who ever offends you.
- 6 votes
Apologies, I will try to keep to the Bagger Movement and it ideology but many want to make it a personal attack when looking objectively it isn't.
- 5 votes
but allen the seed title is the tea party is the enemy, that means you have classified me as an enemy. so why should anyone think of another fellow american citizen as an enemy. why do you hate me so much as to elevate me to that status? i am part of the tea party and the title doesnt say a few people, or some people, it says "THE TEA PARTY" so yes that includes me.
and ga girl the question was to see if its ok for one group to promote hate but not the other. and its never ok for anyone group to promote hate over another group. and thats what i was getting at, its ok for grae to hate me cause he has been attacked before in the past. no that doesnt make it ok. my whole stance in this thread was why am i the enemy and why wont the left stop promoting hate.
- 3 votes
king juster, if seeds and comments on the Vine insult you so, why stay and take the abuse. I don't belong to a media outlet associated with Fox News, because I would be insulted and mad all the time. Plus I doubt they would appreciate my opinion and comments, so I have to ask why stay on the Vine?
- 5 votes
King, Sorry if you want us to feel sorry for you, ain't happening. Since this President was elected, your Tea Party has consistently called him names, disrespected him in a very base way and all of us who voted for him and support him. We voted for him because we felt that he was the best man for the job. We have been demeaned, castigated, and called vile and filthy UnAmerican names because we exercised our American right to vote. Now when the tables are turned you all want to become indignant and wonder why this has happened. Well go to the Internet and into your search engine enter the words lies told about Obama, names that Obama has been called, names and lies told about liberals for a starter and you might get an idea of why we are like we are. You all have done & said some of the worst things I have ever heard in my almost 66 yrs. Why? Because you got out voted and didn't get your way. So this is how you react? Sorry, but this is what you get for how you acted. You made us tough, now you want to whine about it. Sorry I don't feel sorry for a one of you, you are getting what you gave.
- 7 votes
I listen carefully to your leadership and I watch their actions, rhetoric as well as the membership within the bagger base and I can objectively critique available information and arrive at my own independent conclusion as stated above. I have no interest in attempting to persuade you or anyone else to my position they can simply draw their own conclusions as I have. My conclusions are my own. The baggers continuously demonstrate their disrespect and out right disdain for a practically every culture outside the dominate one in America and they further seek to divide stratify this country along economic as well as social lines. Now of course I don't expect baggers to openly acknowledge what they are obviously doing mainly because it is still socially unacceptable to do so but the ones I have engaged with locally say so out right and seem quite proud of this fact. Look you are what your are and I can appreciate honesty above all but I don't agree with your ideology you should not expect any support from me. In fact you should expect active opposition to your stated goals and beliefs as I do not subscribe to them nor to I embrace them as the correct direction that this country needs to go. Now if you find my views to be a an attack on your person then so be it. You free to choose that view if it suits your purpose.

lynn and tell me you didnt call or think 1 bad thing about bush, but obama and bush and how we treated them is not the point of this seed, it is the lefts hate for american citizens, and no one has of yet told me what i have done to be made ito the enemy.
sorry allen if your going to seed an article that calls americans the enemy you have to be prepared to defend that to the american people also. not just those that agree with you that hate is a good thng.

The Tea Party membership are corporate tools. They bought into a tainted bill of goods from the John Birch Society and do not care that they are being used by corporate America.
- 4 votes
King, Another thing that we have been told for 3 yrs. now whenever we brought up anything about Bush and you all flew into defense mode. Bush is not President now, move on. I do not hate my fellow citizens, but I am tired of you and your ilk trying to twist and spin us into the enemy of this country, and now when your agenda and plan backfires then you want to try and overtalk us and whine. Where in my posts did I say anything about me hating anyone? Don't put words in my posts that aren't there. For you all to have done a sitting President like you've done over and over and think that we are just going to sit back, think again, we will not. Nobody I don't care who they are, deserves the treatment and the things that you all have done to him & said about him. No, I didn't call Bush names and degrade him. Did I like him as a leader? No. I believe he was weak and he led us into 2 wars unnecessarily, one under false pretenses and we lost thousands of young, brave soldiers because of that. But to say the things that your party has sanctioned about Obama, I would never stoop so low to do the same to Bush. The office of the President deserves respect if nothing else.
- 3 votes
see lynn just cause someone attacks a president doesnt mean they attack the american people. but when they attack the tea party they are attacking the american people. the american people are not the enemy, they never have been. and people like ahhcrap just loves to make false statements designed to attack the american people.
and yes bush is not in office so why shouldnt obama be held responsible for the state of the country while he is incharge. and did i agree with bushs wars, no i didnt, did i feel we needed to get in there and prevent any posible WMD attacks, yes i did. should we be attacking any other countries. no we shouldnt.
but the tea party is american citizens and if you support them being classifed as the enemy and needing to "taken out" then you are helping to promote the hate towards your fellow american citizens.
and why is it wrong to want an end to all the hate. is that a bad thing?
- 2 votes
Try to pay attention.
if you support them being classifed as the enemy and needing to "taken out"
Mr.Hoffa was talking about the elected Tea Party obstructionists. They must go away.
They are the enemy hurting our credit rating and obstructing economic recovery.
If you support those corporate tools, then you are the enemy.
- 5 votes
yes i support corperations, they provide jobs, welfare. products and services we all need and use daily. if you buy anything from a corperation you are supporting them also. and they thank you
- 2 votes
You lost focus again.
Tea Party obstructionists are members of congress. They are promoting a corporate agenda that raises payroll taxes on the working class and saves their corporate tax breaks. Those include incentives to outsource jobs to other countries. If this continues, there will be no workers here to pay those taxes. The end of the chance to ever pay off American debt. If you support those tools in congress then you too are the enemy of the United States of America.
- 5 votes
How about explaining the rhetoric and ideology espoused but your leadership and base who have honestly acknowledged to me their hatred of all cultures outside the dominate group? How do you as a T-Bagger embrace the overarching sentiments of your members into an ideology that needs mass appeal to really be successful? Try and remember this thread is about the T-party so defection will be seen as another confirmation of this reality.
- 6 votes
King, Surely you aren't going to post what you did and stand by it? You all attacked him and us because we exercised our right to vote and because you lost. We have been called everything but a child of God along with him. You all attacked him about everything he did and said. If you couldn't attack him with facts you made up lies. You name called us socialists, communists, libatards, marxists and every other thing that you could come up, need I go on? There were no WMD's your hero Bush even admits that in your book, but you all don't have the gonads to say "he and we were wrong." Well tell your pitiful excuses to the families of those who have no husband, wife, child, father or mother because of that. Where did I say that ending hate was a bad thing? I did not, so quit with the twist and spin game. As far as Teabaggers being American citizens, then act like it. When does an American citizen say "lets put them in the crosshairs?" See there is plenty to go around, but you all want to paint yourselves as pure as the driven snow. You aren't and now when you all are called out on it, poor things, you begin to whine just like the Weeper of the House. If you believe it, own it, but don't think you will ram your crap down our throats because we differ from you politically.
- 7 votes
sorry but there hasnt been 3 years of hate directed at grae.
Want to bet?
- 4 votes
sorry but some of us have lives away from the internet.
anyways lets see where can i start. ok you set out a list of rules for my reply. you want me to explain to you about the tax incresses and tax credits. i can only assume you are refering to the obama tax cuts from peoples payroll that cuts their contribution to the ss fund. now if you want to keep ss around and keep it working then reducing the amount of money going into it is a very very bad thing. and yes the government takes to much taxes from everyone. and i do support the obama tax cuts for the wealthy.
and lynn, never i never attacked an us for voting for president obama, and as a man he seams like a decent guy, as a leader, well he sucks. and yes we as americans are very critical of our presidents we always have been. yes even bush has been beaten down by the left and still to this day is the escape goat and punching bag.
i still blame the bush wars on everyone involved, democrates, republicans, president bush, and nato members. they all was in agreement when the argument was taken to congress and with the information we had on had there was believed to be WMD, and i do believe there was. but by the time we got there he had plenty of time to dispose of them. and i would much rather go in and make sure there wasnt any then do nothing and have him use them and prove there was some.
and yes americans come in all sizes and shapes, colors and beliefs. and either way you look at it you hate. you are so full of hate. you hate that you hate but you cant stop the hate. that has been my whole point. not to arugue who is worst than who, but why cant the left stop with all the hate. all the racist remarks all the name calling, all the bashing and attacking. i dont care who started it or who did the most of what ever. i been trying for weeks to get the left to admit there is hate. you cant get them to stop till they admit there is a problem. unless you prefer all the hate that is going on.
is it possioble for the left to do anything that isnt filled with hate? even in your attacks on me you use hate in everyone of them. and yet i am just an average american citizen. so why do you hate me. what did i personally do. and dont tell me cause yoru a tool. thats not reason to hate anyone. or is it you just love to hate stuff?
- 2 votes
Even when they talk we still get *crickets*

MJL, So I guess it's OK they can insult me but I can't say anything back? Besides who died and made you the moderator? Speaking of which where is the moderator? Apparently he doesn't believe in his own article enough to bother moderating. I can understand that!
By the way who do you think you are to tell me what to do? You have no more authority here than I do!
- 4 votes
extraterrestrial
See , that is exactly what I mean:
Besides who died and made you the moderator?
- 4 votes
I'm the seeder, not sure if that makes me the moderator, but I let most people fight their own battles. Especially with a seed with this many comments, I can't keep track of all the conversations. If someone offends me to the breaking point, I just block them from future comments.
- 5 votes
Actually Allen as the seeder , that does make you the moderator according to the COH , it is your position as the seeder to make sure that the COH is followed , and that people dont violate it , that could be as simple as letting the individuals fighting , know that they are getting close to violating said code , its also your job as seeder/ moderator to foster , polite discissions , it is within your perview as to how far astray you will allow a discussion to go off subject , such as the discussion between richard and myself , we did try to keep it brief and polite , exchanged thoughts , and it stayed within what was brought up in the course of your seed , and ended quickly enough and amecably , that would have been your call if you desired the discussion to not go there and if told we would have to follow your wishes to stay on the topic of the seed.
over all i think its a good discussion , and your doing ok for what you understand your duties for lack of a better word , are , the coh does tell a seeder what their duties are when it comes to moderating seeds it might be a good idea to see what they really are and not take anyones word , and it is somewhat up to you how you wish to do so , but not doing so also runs the risk of a COH violation that the newsvine mods would deal with , just as we viners have to toe your line all seeders have to toe the line set forth by the COH as well . the viners also are through the COH tasked to keep to the code , and help you the seeder in making sure discussions stay productive Looking forward to more polite discussions .
- 4 votes
Mark, thanks for your input, I'll re-check the rules of the format for the Vine.
- 3 votes
Failure to enforce the CoH can lead to a days suspension. I know this from personal expeirience when a comment didn't show up on the Convo tracker that was a violation and I got suspended for it as well as the person who made it. Don't bother trying to explain if this happens to you. There won't be any apologies forthcoming and the public chastisement for doing a poor job will stand for all to see.
- 4 votes
Kane, thanks for the information. This seed, plus two other seeds I did at the same time had so many comments I couldn't keep up. I figured if people want to get into personal battles back and forth, they would know how to end it. Sometimes I'd have 60 to 100 comments at a time and I don't live on the Vine so it was very difficult reading all the comments completely, especially the very long ones. I guess I'll just do the best I can, and hope for the best.

What's comic is that not one of you staunch Tea Party defenders of the American dream is capable of addressing a single relevant issue.
You just regurgitate the same tired hate fear and debunked GOTP mantra
Which is great on the stump, but while you blame everything on the POTUS you do NOTHING to help your fellow Americans.
Not one shred of cogent reform or legislation to spur this economy.
POTUS does not pass legislation Congress does.
So far NOTHING when offered a huge deal you walked away because it would mean closing loopholes for corporate jets and oil subsidies.

It's definitely what they do that defines them... not, like they always whine, what everyone else thinks when reacting to them.
- 10 votes
Sean,
No problem. I hear you. So here is a proposal for you to look over.
1. Eliminate the current tax code and replace with a flat tax on all income. No loopholes or preferences...period.
2. Treat capital gains as regular income.
3. Eliminate the corporate income tax. Companies don't pay it anyhow, customers do. If you want to tax corporate profits, then tax dividends as income when given to individual shareholders. This will eventually lower prices for the consumer.
4. Pass and enforce balanced budget legislation.
5. Pay off the debt....which will free up approximately 25 Billion a month in interest payments...what could we do with that money?
6. Only further debt we should be allowed, is to fight a war. The only way this would be allowed, is if that is a separate tax, voted on. If we aren't willing to pay for it, we shouldn't be fighting an extended conflict (over 90 days).
7. Legal Review...All current and proposed laws must undergo a legal review to determine constitutionality before they are approved.
8. Regulatory Review. All current and proposed regulations must undergo constitutional and economic review. Each regulation must be certified as constitutional and its projected impact on business & the economy versus its regulatory benefit stated. Every business owner and CEO I speak with tell me that regulations and taxes are their biggest impediment. I don't advocate anarchy in the business community, but I do believe government regulation is over the top right now.
9. Repeal OBAMACARE and start over, focusing on the fundamental costs of healthcare, recognizing it is first and foremost, a business.
Those are just a few items I and my conservative compatriots have been fronting in the House and the Senate. The obstacles to this have been the Democrats and the RINOS.
I look forward to your well thought out response.
Regards,
Mike

It's the left that had a monopoly on twist and spin rhetoric! Perhaps some rightties are starting to use the lefties own tactics against them! this is fun! How does it feel? If you ask me, and I know you're not, I'm going to give you my opinion anyway.
Instead of all this back and forth bickering and arguing which is getting nowhere fast, how about toning down the rhetoric and backslapping in favor of some actual civil discussion.
If you're not an American citizen and you're discussing American politics, then you should just stay out of the argument until you get things in your own country straightened out. We don't need foreigners fanning the flames! In other words clean your own house before you start criticizing your neighbors messes.

Jeebus. President Obama resigned his Senate seat after the election and just before he was sworn in as President. He also made 80% of the votes during the election cycle, which was a better record than many who were not running for office, let alone the 30% rate of McCain.
Clinton was also elected to higher office. Again, you compare apples to oranges. Palin walked away from her elected position without being elected to higher office. Not a peep would have ever been uttered if she had, by some act of Satan, been elected VP. You people continuously use absurd comparisons between the quitter and every other elected official who is elected to a higher office.

Jerry R. Kane and his son opened fire with AK47′s killing two police officers and were then killed by officers in the ensuing shootout.
Jerry R. Kane has been identified as a patriot, redemptionist, white supremacist, and member of a patriot group that believe they are sovereign citizens and no longer answerable to US laws.
Kane was running a redemptionist scam running seminars teaching people how to become patriots and sovereign citizens.
In several YouTube videos of a Fontana class, Kane can be heard discussing such Patriot theories as the idea that only gold and silver are real money (alla Glen Beck).
The ideology of patriots is anti-government extremists who believe that even though they physically reside in this country, they are separate or "sovereign" from the United States. As a result, they believe they don't have to answer to any government authority, including courts, taxing entities, motor vehicle departments, or law enforcement.
It is these mentally unstable people that are attracted to the Tea Party movement and are using it to recruit members to their ideology and have become leaders within the movement.
They are the enforcers of the Tea Party and many run fringe Tea party organizations under the title of militia, minutemen, survivalists, etc.
These people are dangerous and have been arming themselves with automatic military type weapons.
There battle cry is "we are taking the country back" which is the same battle cry used by Rand Paul in his recent speech after the Tea Party handed him a senate primary race in Kentucky.
It is this same ideology that Timothy McVeigh subscribed to before the Oklahoma bombing.

====================================
Health-care protesters took their vitriol to new heights in DC
yesterday -- spitting at and repeatedly hurling racial slurs at black
congressmen.
Thousands of demonstrators, including some members of the "tea party"
movement, chanted, "Kill the bill" and held up signs that read "Stop
the Spending" near the Capitol in hope of pressuring lawmakers to vote
against the proposed health-care overhaul.
But the rally turned ugly when some in the crowd yelled the N-word as
black legislators exited the building.
"I heard people saying things today that I have not heard since March
15, 1960, when I was marching to try to get off the back of the bus,"
said South Carolina Rep. Jim Clyburn, the House's third-highest-
ranking Democrat.

GETTING UGLY: Protesters against the health-care bill rally yesterday
near the Capitol. Some of them screamed the "N-word" at black
congressmen.
His spokeswoman said a protester spat on Rep. Emmanuel Cleaver (D-
Mo.).
And as Reps. Andre Carson (D-Ind.) and John Lewis (D-Ga.) -- a well-
known leader in the civil-rights movement -- left their offices, some
shouted, "the N-word, the N-word, 15 times," Carson told reporters.
"It was like going into a time machine," Carson said. "[Lewis] said it
reminded him of another time."
This was on the News
A man shouted a homophobic slur at Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), who is
openly gay, the Web site Politico reported.
Plus, when President Obama's motorcade passed the furious assembly,
many booed and held their thumbs down.
Police held back the demonstrators as they chanted at the president
and the congressmen, "You work for us!"
Some went so far as to make their anger known inside the Capitol.
"These protesters are running around, yelling and banging on all the
doors of Democratic lawmakers," a staffer said. "It's really loud and
getting kind of intense in here."

Apparently the tea party has a lot more going for it than the leftists! The leftists are angry because they have nothing to justify their cause as more and more democrats or joining the tea party. The last time I checked 30% of the tea party members are democrats.

Hey Extra,
From your own link:
To be sure, the number of Democrats in the Tea Party movement is small. A recent CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll shows that while 96 percent of Tea Party activists identify themselves as either Republican or Independent, only 4 percent say they are Democrats.
I thought you were babbling about 30% -- guess truth and TP are still in separate camps. You really ought to apply for a job af Faux.
Seriously, you have to LOVE people who don't even read their own links -- astroturf.

You wouldn't know the truth if it bit you! And you didn't read it either! No wonder you're not feeling any smarter! You leftists are all the same! You refuse to listen to the truth when you hear it because you're afraid to be wrong.
At least it was a lot better than anything you ever post on this article! I showed proof you show nothing! How's that working for you!

They don't know anything or care to research anything! The research would only prove them WRONG- and all the data we provide them would prove to be correct. And they could not abide by that- now could they?
I feel these are paid protagonists bent upon keeping the President's stature under fire in hopes that he can not win against their volley of ant-Obama. So don't let these turkeys get you down, they are nothing but talk!
We have to make sure that we get out the vote for Obama in 2012!
So they don't answer any of your inquiries but just provide more right-wing talking points. That is all they have.
I stopped trying to dialogue with them about 2 years ago when I discovered that they could not provide any answers or research to their statements; they were just a bunch of lies and falsehoods so don't expect anything else. You will not be disappointed.

denial? really? really? a fake list of lies is the best you can do and you say i am in denial? really.
i mean i guess if you omit facts and stretch the truth to the point of obscene you might almost be able to make some of them true.
you forgot to add they want to store nucular waste in your bath tub. or maybe they want to force everyone to keep a goat in their garage, or they want to make all under garments out of wool.
sorry guys but no one is even listening to the left trying to use fear to scare people anymore, its all become a big joke, they over played their hand and are now getting laughed at.

I guess you don't answer questions when they prove you aren't being honest.
How about this, do the teabaggers support gay marriage? I mean, I know they support hiring gay prostitutes, and soliciting sex in airport bathrooms. So do they support gay marriage?

39. They rewrite and distort history.

sorry guys but the hate forced on us from the left. they hate american citixzens for no reason other than they are differant. they want to take them out. when is the hate going to end. i mean really.
